We are proud winners of the Master Builder’s prestigious regional and state awards.

To date we have won 3 regional awards and 1 state award for best renovation for the prospective years.

In 2009 we entered an old Queenslander in East Toowoomba that went under large extension works, filling in underneath and restoring the building to it’s original character and condition. The project took 5 months and was one of the most extensive renovations we had undertaken to date. We were both delighted and humbled to recieve the “best in category” for the Downs and Western region, and were quite blown away to also win the same award at the State Awards – to be judged best in the state of Queensland in a pretty amazing line up of projects, was a huge honour.

In 2012 we entered an even larger project called “Monomeith” – award – best renovation $276 – $575,000 for the Downs & Western region. This amazing project was in Rifle Range Rd on 5 hectares of land with breath taking views over the city and the range escarpment. Built originally in 1955 by one of Toowoomba’s mayor’s – Curly Anderson – it was a lavishly built classic in it’s era. Works were extensive – the existing internal layout was reconfigured turning one end of the house into a relatives apartment whilst a large extension was added to the other end which became the main house’ living area. In 2013 we entered another colonial style renovation and extension in East Toowoomba – award – best renoation up to $275,000 for the Downs & Western region. This was an old Toowoomba classic weatherboard home that underwent extensive new works. It included removing a rear section of the existing house and then adding a large extension which became an extra bedroom, laundry, study, WC/powder room, and large open living. It boasted beautiful timber bi-fold doors which opened out onto a new deck area and gardens. The center piece of the new living area was a large stone façade from floor to ceiling surrounding the new fire box. The VJ walls, timber windows, hoop pine floor all helped keep the original and classic elements of the existing house, whilst at the same time gave a new and modern feel to it all.

We are extremely proud of these awards and are grateful to all the owners who graciously allowed us to enter them and put up with the inconvenience that went along with it. We are also grateful to our excellent team of carpenters and subcontractors who do such a magnificent job that make our projects worthy of such awards. Also to Masterbuilder’s – a great industry organization who give us continual support on many levels, including these opportunities to show case our work.

We engaged Ross Turner Building (RTB) to undertake a significant extension (approximately 90m2) to our home at 97 Bridge Street, Mt Lofty. Ross along with his very skilful and obliging team including Mick, Lochie and David commenced in late August and completed the project by December fully within schedule and budget
