After looking around for an established house but to no avail, we decided to take the plunge and build our first home. We chose to take a very personal approach by designing a house ourselves to incorporate what we were unable to find in an established house.

In our hunt for builders to construct our idea, we came across many who would not consider building our design. We were struck by Ross and Sandy’s immediate enthusiasm and they personally helped us to refine our design even further. Ross was also quick to show us a home they had almost completed and it was here  that we witnessed first hand the quality of their homes and the pride that he took in the work of his team. These factors were very important to us and swayed us to choose Ross Turner Building.

Throughout the build, Ross communicated with us regularly about progress and any ideas that he had on decisions that we needed to make. He was very helpful and went above and beyond in guiding us in our selections and was always willing to discuss and fulfil any last minute changes of heart.

We often visited the house and on all occasions felt welcome on site by Ross, Michael, Lachie and David and also by the various subcontractors that Ross employs. All through the building process the whole team worked with us in a very personal manner to ensure our home reflected what we wanted. As the experience of building a house was new to us, Ross always took the time to describe everything that was happening and to answer our many questions.

Choosing a builder was not easy, with many factors to consider. Building our house with Ross and his team was such an exciting, fun and personal experience for us, and we loved every minute of watching our house come together. We would recommend Ross and his team to anyone considering building and we have no doubt that they will get both a similar experience and a quality home.

South Toowoomba Renovation 2016-Testimonial

In 2016, we undertook an extensive renovation of our late-1800’s built home. We had thought ourselves for some years on how we might go about this, and how affordable it might be. Being newbies at renos, we consulted friends and colleagues, and met a few builders and draftspeople, but were a little daunted as to who to choose.

Ross Turner Building was recommended to us by some friends who were previous clients of Ross, and we never looked back.

After many months of meetings, planning and tinkering of designs, we bedded down a design plan and budget that we were happy with. Ross was very patient and provided practical and honest feedback of the pros and cons about each idea along the way.

And the best part was he did it all! From concept through to final plans all were done in-house at RTB! It was such a relief not have to run around to other providers for all of this. We were confident we had found the right team to work on our home.

They started work while we were overseas, which was a little scary but we knew we were in safe hands. Over the next 24 weeks, Ross and his team project-managed the whole job! They seamlessly integrated the new additions we had dreamed of into the remaining old parts of the house. They even allowed us change things along the way, which is not easy to manage on the run we’re sure.

His own team and their trusted sub-contractors could not have been more helpful during the journey, and the communication from both Ross and team, and direct consultation from his tradies was excellent.

We were even able to use our own trusted painter to work in with RTB to complete the job.

We are thrilled with the end result, and we were even able to move in a week earlier than planned which was a huge bonus!
